I purchased 2 Bene Casa sandwich presses that are almost identical to the Toas-tite. They are on amazon and shipped from a store called Goodman's. Hate to use an off brand, but I cannot pay the $475 that people are charging on ebay for an old rusted toas-tite. I paid $11.98 for both!!

How neat! Looks like the Diablo is definitely the same kind of contraption. We might have to pick one up. Sounds like it's useful to have a non-stick. :-) If you'd ever like to share a recipe, let us know!

Thank you for all the recipes. I just bought a Diablo sandwich maker from Amazon.Com. They are just like toas-tites except they are titanium and teflon coated (non-stick) so there's no need to add butter to the outside of bread. They do, unfortunately, imprint their logo on the outside of the bread, but other than that, I like them a little more than the wrought-iron ones - much easier to clean.
